Guided By Stars – The Benefit of Honoring Parents

Honoring parents includes but is not limited to being generous to them whether they are in need or not, hearing & obeying them regarding matters that are good & proper, showing them the utmost respect, & addressing them politely & with good words.

In the Qur’ān, Allāh provides a similitude of the family in the dream of the Prophet Yusuf (ﷺ). Why did Allāh represent the parents of Yūsuf as the sun & the moon, and his siblings as the stars, & what can we learn from this?

Guidance of the Stars aims to strengthen the family while taking an in-depth look at the position of the father & mother in Islām, highlighting both their authority & their limits.
